Nido is home away from home to all students that are 16 years of age or over, from any university and any country in the world.
There are a few requirements you need to meet in order to stay with us. You need to prove that you are at least one of the following:
Remember that you must be 18* or over at the time of check-in.
*You are able to book from the age of 16 at time of check-in however you will need to supply us with an indemnity form and comply with our under 18-year-old policy.

The contract length varies based on the Nido. We offer 43, 46 and 51-week contracts at Nido Student. When you are making an online booking, please make sure that you check both the contract length and the cancellation policy before you hit the apply button.
When you are packing to move into your Nido residence you will need to pack your own linen, duvet, pillows, towels and kitchen crockery, pans, pots etc.
Alternatively, you can buy these at Nido in our Online Shop – you can access it by logging in to your Resident Portal. Pick your essentials and we will make sure that your room is ready, with everything you ordered, for your arrival.
For those of you that are a Nido Club resident, linen, bathroom and kitchen packs will be provided.
When you are checking in you will need to show proof of studies from your university, the best way to do that is to bring and show us your acceptance letter.
Prior to check-in, we will also need you to send us a digital passport photo for your key card ID and a photocopy of your passport (and Visa if required) for identification, you can send them to us electronically as well. Please note that we will also need your signed contract with us prior to check-in. Drop us a line via email or give us a call to confirm when before your check-in date we will need documents from you.
Once you’ve found your perfect room, to secure it with us you only need to pay a £100 refundable deposit.
The remaining fees for your stay are then divided into two instalments, the first of which will need to be paid before your arrival.
Of course! Here at Nido we offer 100MB WIFI throughout all of our residences.
Our new broadband even allows you to upgrade up to 200MB/s and if you’re looking for an even speedier and more stable connection you can bring an Ethernet cable to connect to the internet in your room as well. Drop your house manager a line if you’d like to know more about internet upgrades!
We do allow day and night guests, however, for your own safety and security, there are a few guest policies in place:

Don’t worry we know not everyone is a fan of cleaning and we offer a range of room cleaning by a member of our housekeeping staff, packages start from £20. You can choose from Standard, Premium and Check Out cleans. When you check-in just drop by the reception and speak to a member of staff to find out more information about our cleaning packages and availability.
If you are in one of the Nido Student Ensuite Apartments, we provide weekly kitchen cleans free of charge, however, if you need any additional cleaning it will have to be booked as per the above pricing and packages.
Almost everything is included in the rate, there are just a few bits and bobs that may have a charge if you’d like to use additional services:
TVs are not provided in the rooms, however, you are welcome to bring your own. You’ll be able to connect the TV to a centralised cable system and you will need to purchase a TV license for your TV during your stay with Nido Student.
We don’t provide phone lines, but If you’d like to to have a phone in your room you can set up it through our internet provider. You will be able to make and receive external calls for £10 per month plus the cost of VOIP calls.
All you need to do is purchase a VOIP phone through the internet company and pay for your calls. Or you can simply choose to use an internet-based service like Skype and set up an account with them.
We have a laundry room onsite with several washers, dryers and ironing boards which you can use 24/7.
Prices for a wash and a dry can be found in your welcome book which you’ll receive on the day of your check-in.
Yes, you can, but we can only offer this if there is still space available and you have a valid reason for changing your room.
Keep in mind that different rooms can be offered at varying prices. The rates are based on a number of things, like the size of the room, location in the building and its availability so it may be that you will have to pay a different rate to occupy another room.

When you move in and become a Nido resident you will receive two keys (one for your room and one for the post-box) and one building access FOB/key card. They are your responsibility, but sometimes life happens and things get lost – we understand.
If you do lose any of your keys or the FOB, let us know right away. To replace your missing keys or FOB you’ll need to pay a fee:
A lot of our residences have their own gym and they are there for you to use. Our fitness facilities can be accessed free of charge 24/7, so you are welcome to work out whenever you feel like it!
We want you to live your best student life with us. Every month we organise the calendar to include plenty of social parties, career events and learning workshops for all residents – that means you! Most importantly, these events are created for you to connect with other residents and to help bring networking and learning opportunities to your door.

Here at Nido Student, we have on-site, five days a week maintenance staff who are also available for emergencies during the weekends.
They will be able to sort out all those pesky plumbing jobs, electrical fixes, and repairs in your room and the communal areas. With one simple request, help is on the way!
Some of our Nido Student residences, like the West Hampstead Building in London, have limited onsite storage space for rent, so you can leave your belongings over summer.
If you’re not sure if there is storage in your building or if you can use it, speak to your Front of House Team. If there is availability to store your belongings we’ll help you book a spot.
