Every Friday we kick off the weekend by featuring one of our brilliant residents to bring you advice on preparing for university.
This week we spoke to Todd who is in his 3rd year of BMus Performance Guitar at the Institute of Contemporary Music Performance (ICMP).
What was it about ICMP that made you want to study there?
Music is my passion, it’s what I want to do for the rest of my life, there isn’t anything else that I can see myself doing in the foreseeable future.
How did you feel when you were accepted into university?
I was really chuffed! I really wanted to live in London. Its such an amazing city so, it’s been great to live here for two years, with another year still to go. I can’t wait for it.
Do you have any advice on the accommodation search process?
Check out Nido 🙂
Did you find it hard to leave home?
It was hard at first because I’m not very independent but it’s been great. Once you meet some great friends, it makes life a lot easier.
If you could only take three things with you to university, what would you take?
My guitar, my toothbrush and my Mac.
What would you recommend doing while in London?
Check out as many gigs as you can. There are so many goods band around and so many cool places where you can find good talent.
We’ll be featuring a student each week to give you insight into #studentlife and moving to university.
