Friday the 26th, Newcastle University Students Union is the place to be as we run our CarnUVal event! The night promises to be full of surprises from Carnival performers, to world famous DJ’s to big bright UV lights and make-up artists. The event is to celebrate the end of January exams and to build a blossoming relationship between The Nido Student and Newcastle University.
Doors open at 10pm where DJ James Hollingworth will be warming-up the party until 12pm. Following James’ set will be our main attraction of the night where we welcome stilt walkers and hula girls inside to perform alongside world renowned and unique DJ, AFISHAL. DJ AFISHAL is famous for creating the first DJ Equipment of its kind, the Tremor. The Tremor consist of a number of different LED lit drums attached to his laptop to play alongside big beats to entertain crowds and bring something different to the DJ scene. The DJ has performed on Swedish national television, the Gadget Show and many more huge performances across the span of his career. AFISHAL’s set will run from 12pm – 1am and it promises to be a massive part of the night with confetti blasters and CO2 cannons at the ready!
Our third DJ and Made in Chelsea phenomenon is the one, the only, Alex Mytton. Alex will be performing a special VIP Meet and greet session with lucky attendees during AFISHAL’s main DJ set, followed by his very own DJ set which you can watch take place between the hours of 1-2am. Alex has toured up and down the country performing this meet and greet sessions and provides a real attraction to the event.
