When I saw a competition giving me the opportunity to win a 4 week stay at Nido Student Living, I typed my entry and submitted hoping I might be lucky enough to stay in the City that is full of culture and opportunity, as well as hosting the Olympic Games.
A week later, I received a phone call letting me know that in fact I had won, and I was to move on August 7th and see how I enjoy my stay at Nido. My name is Ashley Pearson, and this is my story of my stay at Student Accommodation in style.
Once I arrived from Canterbury, Kent, I was helped by the staff at Reception who quickly gave me my secure access card for my room, and allowed me to make my way up to 6th floor where I am lucky enough to have a corner room, giving me a panoramic view of the entire City.
The room has a feel about it, I guess like a Bachelor Pad, although my girlfriend feels at home when she visits, so it must be that personal preference for myself. Storage space is amazing, with cubby holes and cupboards all over the place, and a clever design giving the room a large feel whilst at the same time having a bedroom, kitchen and bathroom all available for use.
After some cycling around London and sightseeing all my favourite sights with easy transport links directly from West Hampstead to pretty much everywhere, I finally had time to relax in my pad and read a book with the night lights of London’s beautiful city glistening back at me whilst I turned the pages. There is no oven, but you do have a combi microwave and hobs to be creative with your cooking, and although the bathroom may be a tad small, it has everything you need including a super powerful shower that cleans those stubborn stains off your body, especially good when you’ve been cycling all day on the city roads :).
Overall first impressions are great, and I will continue to enjoy what Nido has to offer in time for my next update.
